About WildHire

WildHire is a recruitment marketplace built specifically for the African tourism and hospitality industry, connecting candidates and employers across safari guiding, lodge management, travel trade, spa and wellness, food and beverage, guest services, housekeeping and maintenance, and admin and finance. We started as a freelance staffing platform, which we still run today, but it quickly became clear that permanent roles were where the real demand was, so we built that side of the business too.

Most job boards treat tourism and hospitality as an afterthought, a subcategory buried under generic listings for waitstaff or admin roles. WildHire is built only for this industry, which means every listing, from safari guiding to spa therapy to lodge management, is actually relevant to the person looking at it. No sifting through irrelevant postings, no generic categories that don't match how this industry actually hires.

Our Story

WildHire began as a way to connect freelance staff with tourism and hospitality businesses that needed short-term or seasonal help. As more employers came to us asking for help filling permanent positions, not just freelance cover, we expanded WildHire into a full recruitment marketplace, built around the specific roles this industry actually hires for rather than a generic jobs board.

Meet the founders

WildHire is run by sisters Victoria Bakos and Olivia Bedford, based in Hoedspruit and the UK.

Between us, we've worked in and grown up around this industry, which is why WildHire is built the way it is: around the roles and categories that actually exist in African tourism and hospitality, not a generic template borrowed from a mainstream jobs board.
